TERMS OF SERVICE
Version 1.0 · Updated 31 August 2026
WHO YOU ARE CONTRACTING WITH
500 BRICKS is operated by Ryan McNamee, a sole trader trading as 500 BRICKS (brick500.com), from 3 Bonnymuir Crescent, Bonnybridge, Scotland, FK4 1GD. Questions, complaints and legal notices can be sent to support@brick500.com.
1. WHAT YOU ARE BUYING
You rent the right to display your own image, short message, link and optional promo code in one or more bricks on a public web page for a fixed period. A booking is a temporary licence to display content. You do not buy the brick, any domain name, equity, or a permanent right to that position.
A standard booking runs for 7 days from £3.00 for a single brick. Larger shapes and optional visual upgrades are priced at checkout. Short gap bookings may run for a shorter stated period. The price and dates shown at checkout are the ones that apply.
2. GUEST CHECKOUT AND EMAIL CONTROL
You book as a guest using an email address. After payment you must verify that address. A private manage link is then used to control the booking. Keep that link private. We may re-issue access only to the verified booking email or after reasonable identity checks.
3. PAYMENT AND VAT
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. Prices are shown in pounds sterling. 500 BRICKS (brick500.com) is not VAT registered, so no VAT registration number is shown and VAT is not added to the stated prices.
If payment is taken but the complete booking cannot be fulfilled safely, the affected payment will be refunded in accordance with these terms and the payment records.
4. WHEN THE SERVICE STARTS
At checkout you can expressly request that we begin providing the service as soon as payment is confirmed, your email is verified and your content is approved, even if that is during any statutory cancellation period. We do not treat agreement to the general terms as a substitute for that separate request.
5. CANCELLATION RIGHTS
If you are a consumer, you may have a statutory right to cancel a distance service contract within 14 days of the contract being made. If you expressly ask us to start the service during that period and then cancel before the service has been fully performed, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for the service already supplied up to cancellation.
Where the law allows the cancellation right to be lost after a service has been fully performed during the cancellation period, that will only apply where the required express request and acknowledgement have been obtained. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. To cancel, email support@brick500.com with the booking email and order reference.
6. CONTENT, MODERATION AND REFUNDS
You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to use it. Content may be screened automatically and reviewed by a human before or after publication. The binding content restrictions and breach outcomes are set out in the Content Rules & Refund Policy (version 2026-08-07.1, updated 7 August 2026), which forms part of these terms.
7. AVAILABILITY
We aim to keep The Wall available, but do not promise uninterrupted access or any particular amount of traffic, views, clicks, sales or search visibility. We may make reasonable technical or design changes provided a paid booking keeps a broadly equivalent display opportunity and remaining duration.
8. PROHIBITED USE
- Do not bypass pricing, holds, moderation or verification.
- Do not attack, overload or misuse the service.
- Do not link to malware, phishing or deceptive downloads.
- Do not change a destination to evade moderation.
- Do not impersonate another person, organisation or brand.
9. LIABILITY AND STATUTORY RIGHTS
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Services must still be supplied with the rights and standards required by applicable consumer law. Subject to those rights, we are not responsible for third-party content or for products and services sold on sites linked from a brick.
10. LAW, COMPLAINTS AND CHANGES
These terms are governed by Scots law and the courts of Scotland, subject to any mandatory consumer protections or jurisdiction rights that apply where you live. We may update these terms for future bookings; the version accepted for an existing booking continues to apply to that booking where required.
For complaints, email support@brick500.com. How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
